dusterboy
Hmmm.. so I turned 30 a few days ago, and went to the parents house dug the two Atari 2600 systems I had (actually they where Sears Tele Systems) dug the 50 odd games I have out took it home... plugged it in - nothin'! Got a new power adapter @ radio shack old one looked bad, tested it and was half-a** workin'. Still nothin'! When I turn it on (both of them) I get no picture just a static on the screen. When I flip the adapter to television the TV works fine... anyone? help?
Eduardo
Things to check for: *Clean your cartridge connectors with a Qtip. *Power Adapter should be 9v 500ma Polarity: Tip (+) outter (-). You could also use any power adapter that is able to output 9v with 500-1000ma Tip (+). *Change channels, try 2,3 or 4.
dtahank
Depends on your type of TV as well. I have a Sony Trinitron that has to be on fixed channel 4 so cable will work. When I play Atari, I have to flip the switch from cable to game and also turn off the fixed channel.
