Could you use the dual fire buttons on a Colecovision or 7800?

The Colecovison and Intellivison have their own versions of the Wico.

 

They're just harder to find.

 

I don't believe the 5200 version is compatible..though you can research just to be sure.

Coleco and Intellivision are both 9pin ports. The 5200 is 15 pin. If you know the pinouts on both systems and the 5200 however, you should be able to build an adaptor.

 

Then again, Wico's for 5200 are analog aren't they? The intellivision and colecovision are both digital. Unless you had something kind of like a reversed masterplay circut, it'd still not work.

 

Unless you just really wan't to undertake the task of porting the controller, it's probably not worth it.

Well I was wondering if it would be possible to mod it for a Coleco Y

adapter. I am searching for 2 button joysticks other than the 7800's

that might be useable on the CV. It sounds like too much work now.

Remember, the 5200 Wico is still an analog joystick.

The other consoles are digital.

Oh, forgot to mention, in addition to both systems being digital, the Intellivision is also a 16 position controller rather than the typical 8.

 

Of course, if you just want the two fire buttons, that should be easy, but you'd have to hold two stics, and moving a stick onehanded is kinda difficult (especially with the coleco's stubby thing)
