Any Idea What This Chip Is?

While I was rummaging around in my tray of Atari chip I came across this one. Anyone have any idea what it is?

 

C001299C Date Code: 8120

 

I also found a chip marked 6502 with an Atari number of C014377 Date Code: 8244 Is this an older, unmodified

6502 Chip?

CO11299C is the "Revision C" Stock 810 drive OS ROM. Maybe 1 digit typo? Should be a 24 pin chip.

 

C014377 is indeed a 6502 CPU, used on the 400/800 personality board. Not compatible with XL/XE's. Should be a 40 pin chip. It can also be used in 1050 speeders like Happy 1050, Speedy 1050, and some others.

I doubled checked and no, It's not a typo. There are two leading zeros. That's why I can't find it in my list of ATARI chips. I'll post a picture in a bit.

I'm thinking that it may have come out of a drive because it has a lot of similar markings...

Ok here is the picture of the chip:

I made an error, I said the date code was 8120 but it's really 8125 (Sorry).

Interesting.... It may still actually be a Rev C 810 ROM. The date is appropriate... I found one lone reference to it as such with that p/n here: https://archive.org/stream/Atari_Classics_v3n2_April_1994/Atari_Classics_v3n2_April_1994_djvu.txt

All 810 Rev C p/n's. Maybe 1 factory made a typo.
