dance21
Hi guys and gals I have just picked up a brand new 130xe it had been in shop cellar for 33 years and box didn't survive but luckily the xe was in a sealed plastic bag with a note in it saying return to Atari faulty memory along with the sales invoice both dated the same day. Now the memory fitted is micron mt4264-20 which we all know is toffee so any of these compatible? TMS4164-20NL for £18 or M5K4164ANP-15 for £30 I can get MT4264-15 for £20 but would like to go for a different make if possible at a sensible price Edited November 19, 2018 by dance21
+Nezgar
XEGS stock 64Kx4 RAM chips are 120ns, so 150ns up to at least 250ns should be perfectly fine... Looks like 4264 is backwards compatible with 4164. It just adds a page mode feature that the Atari doesn't use. Just make sure you don't get 4464 type memory, thats 4 bits wide, not 1 (4464 is used in 600XL and XEGS though )
