From insert credit today:

--------------

In amateur dev news, my old employer James Garvin of OMC Games is still working on his Native and Dark Guardian titles, however slow-as-molasses.

--------------

I'd guess he would know, as this is a top-notch site for current news. !?

Comments? :?

Hey, Garvin came to Atari Age recently and said he is working on the Jag again and he has an updated site here http://www.omc-games.com/

It MIGHT not be anything permanent.

Ever since the middle of last week (probably around the MSBlast timeframe) sh*tloads of sites seem to be unavailable.

They come and go.

Even yahoo has been problematic for me at times.

I couldn't get to JI2 since friday until today, even though i'm uninfected with blast.

I'm just wondering if some servers are having problems?

Anyway if we're patient, OMC might be back before too long.

Cheers

I could cope with Blast if MS wasn't spamming my hotmail account every few hours with a pointer that my copy of Messenger is out of date. I know it is, that's why I put it on my laptop you ignorant b@$+4rds!

Comparisons:

MSN Messenger 1.0 (0.4 MB)

MSN Messenger 2.0 (0.3 MB)

MSN Messenger 2.1 (0.4 MB)

MSN Messenger 2.2 (0.4 MB)

MSN Messenger 3.0 (0.7 MB)

MSN Messenger 3.5 (0.8 MB)

MSN Messenger 3.6 (0.8 MB)

MSN Messenger 4.5 (1.7 MB)

MSN Messenger 4.6 (1.4 MB)

MSN Messenger 5.0 (Win 98/ME) (3.9 MB)

MSN Messenger 5.0 (Win NT/2K) (4.0 MB)

MSN Messenger 6.0 (Win XP) (6 MB)

Can we say bloatware?

I couldn't agree more! I still use Explorer 4.0 (I think, it's old) and Netscape 4.7(?) I get those messages all the time, but they work MUCH faster than the newer versions I've tried on my computer and I've NEVER needed to use any of the new bloatware options on the newer versions anyway (when I had them). my computer memory and HD space are far to important to me to fill them with the newer, slow-*ss, buggy browsers. this goes form messenger too!

Hey all! I usually pass by JI2 or hang around the StaticGamer forums, I guess it's abou time I came around here 8)

I can't seem to get the OMC site as well. I used to communicate with James quite often shortly after he began work on the Assassin, which would have been very cool from all the information he gave me about the game. However, I don't mind if he could finish Native. Of course, I think it'd be easier for him to release the kind of material that he always wanted to now that it's much easier to produce JagCD games.
