+x=usr(1536)
This is a good thing. https://archive.org/details/Macintosh_Garden_Collection Oh. Hey. That is *awesome* - Macintosh Garden was one of the best resources for classic Mac software. That's an excellent complement to their archive of ftp.apple.com, which sadly tops out in 2000. DragonGrafx-16
Considering all Mac software is archived in .sit files, what is the best way to open them on a vintage Mac when you do not have a more modern one?
Flojomojo
StuffIt Expander, of course.

DragonGrafx-16
If I could get a a hold of a copy of StuffIt on flloppy or CD-Rom then I'd have no problems opening them on my 1994 Mac but while the Windows version can open the files Windows doesn't recognize them so I can't burn them to a CD. Flojomojo
I would try moving the files via network, or a Zip disk. You could prepare the files in Windows via emulation. Well, actually I would just keep them in the virtual environment. :-) Old hardware is a pain in the butt, but perhaps there are other clues here. https://emaculation.com/doku.php/more_guides
