starpodlog
I purchased a 2600 and neither of the ports register the joysticks going right. It's not the controllers (i tested them on another unit) but the console itself. Is there a way to repair this?

+Stephen Moss
If you have access to multi-meter measure the voltages at pins 4 of the controller ports and pins 11 (right controller) and 15 (left controller) of the RIOT chip (6532). You should measure 5V at all those points, however... If you measure 5V at the RIOT but not at the controller port (controller unplugged) that would suggest a bad connection between the two (dry solder joint or broken PCB track). If you measure 0V at the RIOT chip the that would suggest a bad RIOT chip. Equally if you measure 5V at the RIOT with the Joystick connected & no direction selected and 0V when the Joystick is Right but the direction is not being recognised then again that would suggest a bad RIOT chip.
