PacManPlus
Ok, as promised, here is the pic of the entire board. I took the video mod out of the socket as to get more of the board showing up. Hope this helps. It figures that I have a version of a board that nobody has worked with before. :-/ EDIT: My apologies, I didn't mean to derail the thread. If we should split this into another thread, please by all means, do it, or just let me know and I'll start another one. +Mitch
That looks vaguely familiar. I may have one of those boards, still need to take apart some 7800s to check. Mitch
PacManPlus
Stupid AV mod, but no multi-BIOS? If I knew how to do that, I would have... I'd like to make a version of the BIOS that starts up, say Meteor Shower instead of Asteroids when no cart is inserted. I suspect that whatever game I would use, I will need about 4K free for the actual BIOS?
+-^CrossBow^-
Stupid AV mod, but no multi-BIOS? And what I suspect is a blue LED power indicator as well hehe. Because we were all putting in blue LEDs in the early 2000s !!!

Do you have a pic of the solder side of the board? I'm curious what revision it claims it is and who manufactured it.
davyK
Does NTSC Asteroids play faster than the PAL version or is it speed adjusted?

I believe the folder capture below covers the additional BIOS files you mentioned and some others. I think it has all the HSC ROM files also, or there might be a third one not in the folder. A couple of other files may be 'scattered' elsewhere too. I might have to snoop around in my folders and files. *Edit: Looking over that list, I spelled Asteroids incorrectly, or was that intentional. *Edit2: Nope...just a typo on my part. Hi Trebor could you send me this bios es...so that i could burn them on an eprom???

Iirc it's just a piece of wire or maybe a resistor . It's a jumper setting Looking at pacmanplus' image above it looks to be directly above the 2 colour trim pots right by the cart port Edited January 3, 2021 by mimo
