How to use Atari 7800 rom that has .bin files?

Hello,

Did a few searches but didn't find any info...

I have the 32 in 1 Cart rom but has 32 .bin files.

Was wondering how to load in an emu/MESS/other..?

The 32-in-1 collection is a variety of Atari 2600 games housed under one cartridge.  It is not an Atari 7800 ROM (Despite the cartridge label), but plays under the 7800 console due to the system's ability to run Atari 2600 titles. 

 

The zip archive posted has each of the 32 games placed in individual (2K) binary files, as well as a 'master' bin (64K), which has all of the games merged under one file.

 

32-in-1 cart being a PAL only release, ensure when running the file(s) it is under PAL Atari 2600 console emulation.

 

For MAME/MESS the command line to run the merged binary would be:

 

mame a2600p -cart 32in1.bin

or

mess a2600p -cart 32in1.bin

 

To run the individual game files, swap out the 32in1.bin for the respective bin file name ( I.E. mame a2600p -cart 32in1-17.bin ).

 

A better experience may be provided by utilizing Stella for Atari 2600 emulation though.
