Thanks to all who participated in the Holiday 5-pack.

Now, on to round 5.  Hard to believe we're at mid-season already.

Note, per the recent vote, everybody's lowest (3) percentage scores have been removed from their average calculation for the overall standings.

With this round, we're back to the usual 2-week length.

Game on

You see, this is what is so great about these High Score Clubs.  Without them, I would likely have never discovered a lot of the classics games that I frequently enjoy today.

Now, back to the battle at hand:

1  Nice games but not ones I see myself getting too deep into.

2  Snow Bros - 79,730 (y'all turn 6 digit scores on this? Am I missing something?)

1.  Give Snow Bros.  a try.  Just like BB, there are ways to score big points.  The three ways I know how to score big is:

1.  Rollover all enemies in one snowball.  This triggers a shower of large dollar Bills at the end of the board that are worth 10 thou apiece which must be collected quickly or they disappear.

2.  Pack 2 snowballs together making sure they are close enough together.  If done right, you can shoot one snowball in each direction, which will greatly increase your chances of wiping out all enemies in one.  Each hit during your snowballs attack gives you 8k apiece.

3.  Get all three potions.

Blue - large toss

Yellow- far toss

Red - run fast.

Guaranteed you will hit 100k if you implement these basic strategies.

Lasso 42,300. Has anyone else noticed that sometimes your character freezes up for a split-second (long enough to lose a life) once you've completed a loop?

Snow Bros 124,500. 155,740. Finally broke the six-figure barrier.

Does anyone know the name of the song that was used for the level background music (not the Mexican Hat Dance intro song) in Lasso? I want to say it's something from the early 1900s but I can't put my finger on it. It makes me think of Rhapsody in Blue for some reason.

Lasso 46,860. *Facepalm* I just found out TODAY that you can fire at the dogs and the snakes and you can get 2,400 points offing the snakes to boot. That would have been important information for the game to provide, especially considering you have to go through the roping practice every single time you play the game. Score isn't a huge improvement but honestly the first high score was a bit of a fluke -- I've been averaging in the 20-30,000s ever since.

EDIT: If I would have watched the game demo in full I would have discovered this earlier.
