Mockduck Posted November 15, 2020 Share Posted November 15, 2020 One of the things that most surprised me yesterday while playing the PS5 is that I quickly got used to the far more detailed haptic feedback very quickly while playing PS5 games, in my case Astrobot and Bugsnax, and moving back to a standard rumble while playing Rocket League PS4 edition gave the experience a "something is missing" feeling. There was no COVID to blame. My suspicion is stock shortages are by design, especially for the holiday season. The first year of the console will be light on new content, so you won't be missing out on much if you don't have one now. I'll pick one up down the line when they are in stock at regular prices and the early issues have been ironed out. Mockduck Posted November 20, 2020 Share Posted November 20, 2020 Like many of us here I am a surviving veteran of the console wars of the 90's, so things like not seeing or getting a console until months after launch is pretty normal to me. The above link seems to agree with me. Besides fitting into a space much better, the PS5 seems like it will run cooler, and removing those fins doesn't seem like it would particularly expose anything that couldn't be dealt with.
