Omega-TI Posted March 30, 2020 Share Posted March 30, 2020 One of the things I wonder when looking at photos of old computer systems is... "HOW MUCH DID THEY SPEND ON THAT ANYWAY?" For instance in you look at this system, you'll see a TRS-80 Model IV, but it has four apparently non-Tandy disk drives and one of those wildly over priced hard drives. Back in the day someone spent a kings ransom for that system. Now days large boat anchors like that are only of interest to us nostalgia and computer hobbyists. The average smartphone has more power and storage space than that old rig. Anyway, I'm thinking this might be an interesting idea for a thread. Someone posts a photo of an old system, even their old system, and we try to figure out the value (at the time, not accounting for inflation).
