WaverBoy
The reason I ask is this: I have a Genesis 1, with A/V cable, and I'm using a Y-adaptor on the end of the audio portion, so I can split the mono signal into my right/left stereo inputs. Now, I've read on this forum that if you use a patch cable from the headphone jack, you can get stereo. I've also read that the Genesis 1 isn't capable of stereo. So, my question is this: if I use a patch cable from the headphone jack, instead of splitting the mono from the A/V cable, will it sound any different, i.e. will it be ACTUAL stereo? Or, will it still be mono split into two channels, and sound exactly the same as my current setup? Thanks to all who can help!

The Gen1 CAN generate stereo, it just can't output it off the AV port.
ubersaurus
A patch cable to the headphone jack of any Genesis 1 or CDX will indeed give you stereo sound. I'm pretty sure it works for the neo geo too, since it also has a headphone jack-not sure though.
