cheezball
I have a PB Spider-Man. Box and cart look like the standard Parker Brothers Spider-Man shown here on AA, but with a 'P' sticker on the back of the box and 'P' printed on the label of the cart?? Anyone know what the 'P' means? I thought PAL, but it plays on my TV -- in color. I'm not real familiar with PAL format other than what I have read. I was under the impression that if a cart is PAL it would play on a U.S. TV, but only in black and white. Any ideas? Thanks!
Nukey Shay
It is PAL...the difference between it and a regular NTSC cart is that they were made with different refresh rates and vertical resolutions in mind (which means that the television might roll or have a slight warp to the displayed images). The timing of the games will be a bit off as well, since it was made to display 50 frames a second, but the NTSC 2600 is forcing them to operate at 60.
