SEARS DISTRIBUTION UPDATE
====================

I identified a new PSN number in Sears distribution. In the boxes containing the Sears catalog number 6-998 and standard flap style, 08 games with PSN registration C014070-C012189 were identified, see the list: Poker Plus, Slots, Football, Canyon Bomber, Arcade Golf, Cannon Man, Bowling and Dare Diver.

There are now 5 versions in total identified:
- 03 with Sears catalog number 6-998, 01 gatefold and 02 standard flap style.
- 02 with Sears catalog number 49-75, 01 standard flap style and 01 glued flap style. See the full list:

  • Gatefold (6-998)
  • C012189 (6-998)
  • C014070 (6-998)
  • C015741 (49-75)
  • C017141 (49-75)

PROGRESS LINE ON THE WEBSITE
======================

I also inserted a progress line on the website cover showing the percentage of validations made in each version (I use the ASCII character table to build the graph), thus showing the progress of work in the versions.

Hope you enjoy!

NEW VERSION FOUND OF SLOT RACERS GAME IN PAL FORMAT (C014060)
=================================================

I added a new version of the game Slot Racers, the box version C014060 - C011822 (© outside the warranty box, printed in the USA) contains P sticker on the side indicating the video format. I have already included the new version in the search and provide detailed images below.

I have this version too, is it the same tab as this?

Yes, excellent. Is your version PAL video format? Could you add a photo of the printing industry information? And if possible, also a photo of the back of the box? If you look at my version you will see that it is damaged at the copyright location.

Yes mine is also PAL it has the sticker on the box.

Mine has thick tape across the front of the box so it looks like it was taped to another game. Shops did this sometimes to bundle pairs of games together for a deal.

I currently have it listed on eBay, is it worth keeping this box variant?

The version in my collection that I've kept is the one without warranty and game program in big letters on the back.

Cool, a very difficult version to find (as incredible as it may seem)

I understand that it was a way of negotiating batches of games.

There are several ways to collect series and versions of games published by Atari. You can collect by versions as well as game titles. And of course there are versions that are much rarer than others. In this case (from the Slot Racers game version) I had never encountered it, it was on my radar.

The version of my collection that I kept is the one without warranty and with the game program in large letters on the back.
It is the most common version along with the latest picture label version of the color series!

Clint, thank you very much for your feedback.

To complete the validation of version C014060 - C011822 (With the guarantee certificate's background color in the same color as the box) the only thing missing is Basketball PSN:C014060-24.

It's been a while since I went through everything so I'm a bit rusty on the details.

If it's greyed out are you still looking for it?

For example I have this Space War with 5 languages on the back.

The manual is the 01697.... version but the bottom of the box is still glued.

When we talk about versions, the recognition techniques we use are extremely hard!

Space War multiple languages I haven't validated it yet, if you could send the information I would like it!

Atari's international version of the multi-language color series is fantastic to collect: It's very diverse, has at least 50 titles and offers exclusive versions. I would definitely invest a lot in this version.

I would love to add this box variation to my collection. Was it primarily distributed in EUR PAL?

Here's the Space War multi language version, I heated open the bottom of the box.

The tab picture is a bit blurry but you can make it out.

The manual also has a matching number to the tab.

Yes, an excellent version to acquire and we still haven't found the box indicating the NTSC video format (sticker N).

Found a couple of other 5 language Inc versions.

This version of Backgammon has all 4 tabs still attached, has the date and printhouse but no CO number on any of the the tabs.

The manual version matches up with the rest of the C016972 5 language versions.

I think this is the Inc 5 language C016972 version of Space Invaders but all tabs are missing from the box.

Yes you are correct, the characteristics are from version C016972.

Your versions are very interesting, it also happened that some international boxes in the silver series did not contain the catalog number on the internal flaps. All boxes in standard lid opening format.
