juancho
Hey guys, what is the best way to emulate Intellivision on a Mac nowadays? What controller are you using and how do you hook it up? Any way to play with a wireless controller that provides a satisfactory experience? Thanks in advance for any advice. ColecoJoe
I use jzintv with a Ultimate PC Interface and flashback controller.
+cjherr
OpenEmu is very good, but I haven’t tried to put any sort of controller to it. I agree about jzintv and the Ultimate PC interface as being probably closest to the real thing.
mr_me
You can play with an xbox/playstation style controller. Not as good as a disc but it can be done. For best results, different button mapping can be used depending on the game. For example with AD&D and Deadly Discs, map the disc to the right thumbstick and keypad 1-9 to the dpad. Thank you, this is the setup I was considering. Does the Ultimate PC Interface connect directly to the flashback controller or do you need a special adapter? I ask because I remember reading that the flashback controller is wired differently.
ColecoJoe
Yeah you need an adapter for the FB controllers.
mr_me
The upci supports the flashback controllers directly. If you are only using one controller you can get the 2600daptor. http://2600-daptor.com

+intvsteve
Yep... Just a few months back verified that two or three of the various USB interfaces work just fine w/ jzIntv on Mac.
