reverendshoebox
Hi, you glorious people. I have a 7800 that powers on (as in, the red light turns on) but sends absolutely no video or audio signal. Suspecting the RF module, I tried to grab audio directly from the board, and other than a slight pop sound when I power on, there's nothing. So that's not it. What should I check next? Thanks!! +-^CrossBow^-
Hmm... I actually one just like this and even after replacing the TIA, 6502, and the RIOT I still got nothing from it. I did confirm all chips were getting voltage..etc so the only other conclusion I could come up with something wrong with the Maria chip and I didn't have a spare one of those on hand to try so I made that 7800 a parts donor at that point. I ruled out the RF modulator by soldering in a Magic Knight board to rule that out and still got nothing from it. Also if you aren't getting audio when trying to grab it directly, then the RF modulator isn't to blame. Assuming you are tapping the audio from the R5 and R6 resistors before they go into the modulator section?

What would you consider a fair price? Send me a PM. Thanks, -=ShoEboX=-
