Joey Kay
Okay.... now I'm confused. I thought that Atari dismantled their computer division in 1993, however, check out the last line from this press release from early 1994, stating Atari manufactures computers... http://www.atariarchives.org/cfn/09/03/08/0058.php When did Atari drop the computers. Surely they weren't manufacturing computers at this point... and if they were, they must have been outsourcing. Didn't they start outsourcing manufacturing in 1992? I remember reading about this in ST Format or ST Log or some UK mag like that... Cheers! Joey
+Sauron
Atari didn't officially drop the computer line until I think late 1994. In 1993, when they announced the Jaguar, they stated that all of their resources were going towards the Jag, but they still said they would continue the ST/TT/Falcon line sometime in the future. I think that's what has people confused about when exactly Atari officially dropped the computer line.
