+Defender_2600
http://blazeretro.com/ I saw this handheld and bought it without thinking too much, I didn't have high expectations but it still intrigued me since recently the market is offering some good quality handhelds. So, coming to the point, it's really possible to add 7800 games via SD but unfortunately some games don't work (including games that use POKEY) and games that work run too fast. Also TIA sounds bad, difficulty switches are not included and some color is wrong (for example the original 2600 Pac-Man has a green background). Small consolation, I was able to play the splendid Pac-Man Collection - 40th Anniversary Edition, even if it ran too fast.

I have the version with five pre-loaded 7800 games and among these games only Asteroids runs too fast. I don't see Food Fight or Alien Brigade listed for the consoles on their website and I only see the game list under the video for the 50 game version. Can't find info on the 60 game version on their site.

Well, unfortunately my digital camera doesn't work... so I had to use my cell phone. Also, I was unable to disassemble the silicone D-pad as I was starting to damage it. I know, these aren't the best.

+MrZarniwoop
On Amazon, I bought the 60 game version, which was pictured to include Ninja Golf and Alien Brigade. However, I received a 60 game version which includes 5 7800 games (Asteroids, Centipede, Desert Falcon, Food Fight, Planet Smashers) and 55 2600 games. Also, it appears to be a microSD slot, although the box describes an SD slot. I will try to load 7800 games on the microSD slot over the weekend. +MrZarniwoop
I love this cheap little handheld for running 7800 games from a microSD card. I'd say overall that over 50% of 7800 titles are playable, across the retail releases, hacks, and homebrews. Maybe over the holidays I'll attempt a list. I suspect some of the too fast/too slow variants are based on graphics mode. Some games run sped-up at different rates, which makes for a slightly different (and still fun) game, like Food Fight, Galaga, Mario Bros and Space Invaders (homebrew). Some are too fast to be fun, like Joust. You can't flap enough to stay in control. Some run too slow to be fun, like Ninja Golf and Motor Psycho. A shame, but at least there's Ninja Golf on the Evercade. Some don't play at all, like Dark Chamber and Xevious. Ballblazer actually locks it up fully on the Lucasfilm title screen, where SELECT+START won't return to the menu.
Jinks
I am waiting for the day someone makes a portable 7800 with high quality hardware for under 500usd. These cheap junk versions such as anything to do with atgames etc. are a waste of my life. I bought a couple of them anyway to only find disappointment.

There aren't many 7800 titles on the Evercade, but the ones they have on their Atari Collection 1 (Alien Brigade, Food Fight, Motor Psycho, Nina Golf) and Atari Collection 2 (Asteroids, Basketbrawl, Centipede, Desert Falcon, Planet Smashers) play perfectly. It sells for about $100 USD ($80+$20) on Amazon.

I had no idea about the EverSD, wow. It does claim to allow you to load your own 7800 games using ProSystem, so the retail games should play (including Ballblazer and Commando with POKEY sound) although homebrew and hacks will be hit and miss. However, the last 1.3 firmware breaks this flashcart. I wonder if I can find 1.2 somewhere...

We added 7800 support to Argon late last month... That runs on Android phones/tablets, Chromebook and Amazon (tablets)... Give that a try for your handheld solution and let me know what you think...

Well, I'm not sure it's ideal, but it's pretty good. It seems to run all the retail carts, almost all the homebrews, including POKEY games. Unfortunately it does have graphical glitches for the latest Popeye 7800 demo ROM though. It is a bit of a pain because there's no info on the screen outside of a number of the file being loaded unless you take the time to use the EverLoader to provide game metadata, box art, and a screenshot. I'm wondering if I can write some kind of scraping script...
