Stormtrooper of Death
I have 2 model 102 and 2 model 200 computers. To prevent the internal backup battery to damage the motherboard, can I just cut the battery loose and will the 102 and 200 still boot ? +chue
Models 100 and 102 won’t boot without the battery. I can’t speak about the 200.
+arcadeshopper
Actually they will but you will have to cold boot them every time. I sell new batteries in my store at arcadeshopper.comSent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
bluejay
Yeah, they'll boot fine without the battery, but like arcadeshopper said it'll lose all contents in its memory every time you boot it. I've also seen a few people replace the battery with a supercapacitor. Looks interesting. Also I'd really recommend you desolder it instead of cutting the thing off if you can. Makes it easier to replace.
