Sneak preview

I have good news, and I have bad news.

The bad news is that we tried and failed to release Meta on Atari itself first, for the ABBUC Software Contest, using FujiNet to access the compiler on the new Meta build server. The network command that Meta needs turned out not to work on FujiNet yet, and we couldn't get it to work in time for the contest.

The good news is that the big day is finally here! I'm releasing Meta first as cross-compiler now, still producing Atari programs, but running on Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD and Apple Mac:

In principle, it also runs on Windows, but that may need some more testing. Stay tuned! Now that this milestone has been reached, I will make quick incremental improvements in the coming time, perhaps incorporating some feedback here, before I make a wider announcement.
