Omega-TI
I'd get lost with all those wires poking out like that... and what a nightmare ever finding a fault! I liked the old Radio Shack P-Box kits as a kid, but they were too small for the really good projects. I used perf board as I got older, but honestly those red boxes and perf boards never looked classy enough to show off my latest pride and joy. Over the years, projects that use discrete components began to disappear, but now many of the new items are combining user assembled components again with pre-existing tech like Raspberry Pi, Arduino's and other stuff. Now even when you find a P-Box on Ebay, the sellers want too damn much for them. Recently one guy had a P-Box with a reserve of over $60.00... he's relisted it several times. Too small, too expensive and look way too cheap. The new version is classy... and if I ever make a project for the TI-99/4A... it'll match! ? I'm really into this new base & design, but as I look for my first project, I'm wondering, is there anything TI-99/4A related anyone has been sitting on that could use a platform like this? Looking at those bodge wires is enough to trigger permanent nightmares. It looks like it is trying to expand and eat the house. . . I do have a gift for understatement. I really meant ...sometimes I don't. However, that project was not my own, merely a close parallel. Pics. below are linked... This is my doing... ...and yes, it did sort of eat the TI, but it gave the house some teeth!
Omega-TI
AtariAge does not have the proper feedback emoticon under the like button, so I had to search online to find an facial expression to post as a reaction to that apparent rats nest of wires...
Omega-TI
@HOME AUTOMATION ... while it's not big enough for your project, I believe it's big enough as a platform to recreate Vorticon's microcomputer trainer...
