AtariIsMyJam
Hey yall - I'm new here and looking for a little help. I found this on ebay and am interested in adding it to my collection! From the research that I've done, it looks to be pretty rare! Can you guys/gals tell me if I'm wrong on this? The seller also has a Sentinel on there as well. Both have marketing material and manuals. It looks like maybe these were produced by ResQsoft? It ends in like 2 hours so if you all are able to help, it would be greatly appreciated! juansolo
As far as I'm aware Klax was a never completed/released prototype. It's missing music from what I remember but it does work. This is likey someone's made a nice looking repro of it. For sensible money, I'd add it to my collection. I loved Klax on the Lynx. Giles N
I got Klax for the 7800 from Good Deal Games (but I think its sold out now). I haven’t played through it, but others have said its complete except for music. If you liked it on Arcade or Lynx you’ll want it for your 7800. I lucked into what I am sure is a repro copy not too long ago. I was very happy to add this gem to my 7800 Collection. +Mitch
The ROM has been out for 20 years. It was one of the first 7800 proto ROMs released. Mitch

(mine looks just like groundtroopers....no "proto" language on the cart)

About the same time, Klax was being assembled on a cart in this release by ResQSoft. Realizing that our timelines were sort of lining up, we ended up collaborating together, so I contributed my interview to the "Tips and Tricks" booklet that came with that Klax release. The same guy that programmed Klax made Ninja Golf. The interview gave insights into how that game came about conceptually, and a few other fun details if I remember right. I've got one on my shelf.

+Propane13
Oh hey, found something. @Cousin Vinnie Any chance you can restore this old page to your new atari7800forever.com site? It seems to have come of interest again.
