SlidellMan
Adventures of Lomax: This is one of the PS1's hidden gems, and I bet that the Sega Saturn could handle this with very few compromises. It was also released on Windows 95, by the way.

SlidellMan
Yeah, and I say that it has aged gracefully. At least Sony could upload the entirety of the Psygnosis/Psyclapse back catalogue to Steam and GOG.

A somewhat rare instance of the PS1 version of the game being considerably worse than the Saturn version. It's the exact opposite of what happened with Doom for each system.. I wonder what would've happened had John Carmack allowed the porting team to take advantage of VDP-1 like they wanted to, which reportedly had the game running at 60 fps on their custom engine on Saturn hardware. RetroSonicHero
Man, this thread really makes me want to check out some of my PS1 titles again. Still have NFS III, FF 8 and 9, Aquanaut's Holiday, and a couple others sitting on a shelf... can't deny they look pretty interesting.
newtmonkey
@RetroSonicHero Do it! Every time I pull out my old PSone from the closet and hook it up, I end up addicted for weeks. Such a great library of games. FF8 and FF9 are both worth playing through imo.
M-S
Total Meltdown also has a brand new chapter, it's way harder than the others and has some new enemies. You can play it on PC too through a mod.
