tinystack
Hi All, To help out a for a solution to the 1040 STF no composite video out issue. Some people might want to know that I recently purchased a 1040stf and like everyone was stuck trying to find a solution other than Scart-Hdmi, etc. I like to use older stock (my CRT monitor only has composite in) . so having some Arcade repair background, i figured that Jamma outputs the same frequencies as the STF. Now mine didn't have the composite SYNC circuit ( which i added). In the arcade world there exists a device to take the RGBS signal and output a composite video signal Not promoting anything but here's the link http://www.jrok.com/hardware/RGB.html I tried it by rewiring the 13 pin DIN connector with the relevant signals to the connector of the device and it works just fine for my monitor. the board needs to be powered 5v This is not a perfect solution but sure is cheaper than buying single purpose Atari monitor and if you're stuck like me with only composite In monitor then maybe this might work for you. Just throwing it out there, hope it helps someone out
