Zach Posted August 17, 2003 Share Posted August 17, 2003 Ah yes, California Extreme. I went in 2001 and 2002. It's all about a convention hall filled with pinball and arcade games set to free play. There are much fewer vendors than at other gaming events, although many of the arcade games are for sale. The 2001 show was interesting because it took place the first weekend after Sept. 11. Still a lot of people showed up and resolved to have a good time. In 2002, someone brought a LaserMame machine which projected vector games like Tempest and Asteroids on the wall.
