3DO Black screen after recap.

Hello, 

I recently bought an Fz-1 3do and was having some issues with the CD drive. I went on to Console 5 and purchased a recap kit, and I also downloaded the schematic from:

•  "Wiki"
  •  DFUP0576ZAM3(a)

But when I turn on the unit, I get a black screen with flickering. I doubled checked all my capacitors and made sure they were all facing in the correct polarity. I even removed all the capacitors and replaced them with the old ones with the same result. I confirmed all pads were in good shape, and none of the pads were lifted that I could see.

Could be a problem with the CD Drive. Do you get an Access light?

Do you get the startup screen when the disc isn’t inserted? Have you checked voltages at the 5V and 9V regulators? Use the troubleshooting flow charts to narrow down your problem https://console5.com/techwiki/images/6/68/Panasonic_FZ-1_Technical_Guide%2C_CPD9310013G0.pdf
