I keep meaning to get pack to this project - it was mostly a learning experience with the PCB layout software. If I do another revision, I’m going to shrink it to no wider than the D-sub connectors, and shrink the length way down too. Lastly, I need to spread out the pads for the transistor a bit - they are VERY tight by default and it’s too easy to make a solder bridge. 

 

But once I had a good way to play Crossbow on the A8 and 7800, and especially 7800 Alien Brigade, I kind of lost interest in optimizing it. It works and it’s large enough not to get lost in a box full of dongles and adapters.

Divide the box into smaller sections!

 

(Says the guy who's crates he uses for meetings always look like a mess after a multiple day meeting because all the wires and cables are tangled)
