Buckaroo
This is an unusual one, I've had literally hundreds of Pole Position carts and never one with the POLE POSITN* end label. This has been tested and is a PAL cartridge. It has a simple dust shield which is unusual on a silver labelled cartridge. I've found an NTSC version of this cartridge listed on Atari Age here. https://atariage.com/software_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=366 I only have the cartridge, no box or instructions. Buckaroo
Yeah I've played it on my PAL system and the colours are correct.

Definitely 100% now, just dumped it using an AtariMax programmer (find it attached). Compared the checksum of this against another PAL version and it appears to be different. I'm new to this so is there a program where you can compare 2 binaries side by side to see the differences? Pole Posit'n PAL.bin

I'm using WinMerge (a free tool) to compare rom binaries. In this case, I see only the F8 bankswitch hotspot values differ, which kind of depends on the tool you're using to dump the rom. Btw. I've run into these "Pole Posit'n" PAL cartridges a couple of times, so I'm not sure if these are really rare.
Buckaroo
Thanks @Dionoid I'm clueless when it comes to comparing ROMS
dwh
I assume this PAL end label variant was also released in 1985 ,like it was in the NTSC areas. It took me cutting open a shrink-wrapped box to figure this out; Atari Corp sure confused everything.

I've never had a PAL version with that end label and the original box but I'll probably find one at some point. I'll post back here if I do.
