rietveld
I love the look of my Adam setup and have tried to use modern hardware that mimics the stuff from back in the day. I like my Adam to look as if it was straight out of the 80's IE the modern cards like MIB238 and IDE cards and 256k or bigger memory cards that look right at home in the card slots The front mounted ADE's look awesome but they look to modern for my taste. I like the ADEL since it is small enough to tuck out of the way anyway just wondered if you guys like the system to look period correct or if you like it looking modern and up top date
phattyboombatty
I try to keep all of my vintage units period-correct. However I always clean and refurbish my units to look their best! I also prefer modernizing my units while keeping them looking as factory original as possible. I typically use pre-placed holes for AV mods, but I had to cut a new one for my Adam. My Adam has the F18a mod with VGA out, and I have a Sewell Hammerhead HDMI adapter for when I need it.
NIAD
Being period correct doesn’t matter to me. I just want to have the best and most flexible setup as possible especially in order to take the work load off of legacy drive options to minimize the wear and tear on them. One question for you, do you keep an AtariMax Ultimate SD Cart plugged into the cartridge slot at all times?

The Sd card that sticks up detracts from the vintage look so I don t keep it in the slot unless i am using it
