tyranthraxus
I had originally thought my JagCD was broken but after making sure it is firmly snapped in I have been able to get the CD player to work! BUT I have had zero luck getting a cartridge to work with the cd unit installed. I have carefully cleaned and pushed the cartridge in fully but no luck Anyone experience similar problems and have any tips?
Gunstar
I occasionally have problems getting carts to work, but I just blow on or clean the cart edge connector AND blow out the cart port on the CD, as dust can easily get down in there. of course some people don't recommend this, finding a way to clean out the cart port is the best bet, like maybe wrapping some felt or other verysoft cloth around a credit card, with some alcohol on the cloth and stick it in&out to clean it that way. The other things to do are to do the same with the base unit cart port, even if the jagcd is working, and make sure that both sides of the edge connector on the bottom of the CD unit are clean and snuggly in place too (the edge connector does pull out, although I forget if you have to open up the cd unit to get it to come out or not). That brings me to the last thing, there is another port connector on the bottm side of the jagcd unit (where this double sided edge connector plugs in, try cleaning it too). There are lots of contact points that can get dust, dirt, oil or tarnish on them that you need to make sure are all cleaned well and connected tightly. Also make sure nothing is jammed down in the cart slots.

Any one in particular or all of them. I've heard people mention troubles with certain games and the CD unit before in the past.

LinkoVitch
I have found that sometimes when this happens, try sliding the cart slightly to the left or right. Make sure it's turned off obvioulsy. Probably not the best thing for the contacts but it works
