tailGator
I just picked up a Dishaster with the label that is peeling and warped from water damage. My question for all you experts out there is this: Should I try to remove the entire label and re-apply it using the glue stick? Or should I just try and glue the label on the best I can (accepting the warped areas as is)? If I were to remove the label altogether, what's the best way to do this? Can I use a blow dryer or something? Thanks in advance for your help.
Room 34
I wouldn't recommend using a glue stick... that stuff won't hold to the cartridge plastic and it'll make a big mess. Get some heavy-duty spray adhesive. Just be careful with the stuff!
StanJr
Depends on the extent of the damage. If the entire label is damaged, then it should fall right off the cart. If only part of the label is damaged, you should still be able to remove the label fairly easily, but just to be sure, a hair dryer will work. Spray Adhesive is good for reattachment, I am wondering if the label could be soft ironed out to remove the bubbling from the water damage???? Krytol
I am wondering if the label could be soft ironed out to remove the bubbling from the water damage???? That actually sounds like it might work. Make sure you put a piece of paper or cloth between the iron and the label, and use a low setting on the iron. The problem is, if the bubbles or wrinkles are high enough, they might be creased by the iron.
Dolt
Get a useless pac man cart and mess it up so that you can PRACTICE before doing this to the dishaster cart!
Room 34
Good point, Dolt... although Dishaster is just one of those games that's so bad, I find it hard to treat it with care, even though it IS rare!
tailGator
Thanks guys. I didn't know that spray adhesive worked better. Also, the soft iron method sounds great.
