King Atari
The control is debateable, but I'd say for an arcade perfect port, get Double Dragon 1. However, all you really need is Contra: Hard Corps.

Ze_ro
Most of these are games that I played on the Amiga first, but whatever: (In no specific order) Sonic (all of 'em) Virtua Racing Space Harrier 2 Golden Axe Altered Beast Afterburner Xenon 2 Green Dog Atomic Robokid Gods Chaos Engine* Bonanza Bros. Star Control Phantasy Star (any of 'em) Streets of Rage (any of 'em) Contra Hard Corps Sonic Spinball Earthworm Jim Dynamite Headdy NHL 95 Turrican James Pond II: Codename Robocod Vectorman Ecco The Dolphin Comix Zone Columns * - I'm not sure if this is the right name of the game... it was an Amiga game that I enjoyed and I know there is a Genesis port... but I think they changed the name for a North American release. By the way, does anyone know if Turrican II was ever made for the Genesis? I've seen screenshots of a game called Universal Soldier that looks a LOT like Turrican II but with different graphics and a lame-ass movie tie-in, but I'd much rather have the real thing. Anyone who liked the original Turrican owes it to themselves to fire up UAE (Or WinUAE for you Windows types) and give it a try. It's quite possibly the best 2D platform game ever made. --Zero

video game addict
The Chaos Engine = Soldiers Of Fortune on the Genesis. It was called the Chaos Engine on MD. I've never played it but it looks cool. Universal Soldier was made by Accolade, so it's possible its some sort of port from the original Turrican. There was also a Mega Turrican released Data East, it's I think considered the follow up to the original. Also I think SNES had Super Turrican 1 & 2, not sure where they fit in the mix. Seems most everything on SNES was named Super.
Ze_ro
The Chaos Engine = Soldiers Of Fortune on the Genesis. It was called the Chaos Engine on MD. I've never played it but it looks cool. Ahh, that's it... thanks for jogging my memory. There was also a Mega Turrican released Data East, it's I think considered the follow up to the original. Also I think SNES had Super Turrican 1 & 2, not sure where they fit in the mix. I don't particularly remember Mega Turrican, but I've played the Super Turrican games, and they're nothing at all like Turrican and Turrican II. They have some similarities (such as the 360 degree gun, and most of the powerups like bounce shot and such), but they're fundamentally different (Although they are decent games in their own right). I think Mega Turrican takes after the Super Turrican games, but I only have vague memories of it unfortunately. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for Universal Soldier... --Zero
Goodwill Hunter
Don't miss: Dune: Battle for Arrakis - Great RTS game with 30 unique missions...a must have if you're a Dune fan. Zero Tolerance - Great Doom clone...it is amazing how big this game is, plus it had scaling, dozens of enemies onscreen at once, awesome weapons, and they did all this with a standard Genny cart! Robocop vs. Terminator - My favorite Genny platform/shooter after Gunstar Heroes...great sound, challenging play and great codes that bring out the best in the game.
