2600 Club

I wanted to get the word out that there is a 2600 club which is awarding Atari trading cards for meeting score requirements for each game just like Activision did in awarding patches.  Go to https://2600club.com/ to check out the details.  The site is run by Michael Salzman @salzmafia.com, the author of the Atari 2600 Throw Back Zines.  If you become a patreon member, you can continue earning more cards.  Here are some examples of what they look like:

Earning the cards can be challenging, but fun and help you improve your score at each game.  Give it a try!

That depends on your gaming skill and how much you have played a particular game.  There are some that I'm struggling to beat and that gives me a goal to work towards.  To me it brings back the old days of trying to top each other's high score.  The challenge is in earning all the cards you can unlike some of these other guys who just sell a whole set for a lot of money.

8 would have to agree with Thomas Jentzsch, your scores are too low. You need to make the scores needed to achieve the patch somewhat of a challenge, or there is no accomplishment in achieving that score.

I would recommend either using the average score from the AtariAge HSC, or one Standard Deviation higher than the average. The High Score Club database has a large amount of data to pull from, and a wide range of players who are playing for fun or trying to be the best in the season.

Well I am not the one who set the scores.  I was just trying to let people know they can earn a set of Atari game cards, there is a way to do it without overpaying for a set.  Perhaps the scores were set lower for a reason so the cards can be obtained with some sort of effort?  Still, I like the idea of earning cards instead of buying them.

I'm definitely going to check it out. Stargunner, have you tried AtariQuest yet? I've written a novel with 444 chapters, and each one ends with an Atari challenge -- every time someone completes a challenge, I release the next chapter. Right now we're on chapter 2, which is a Breakout challenge. Thought you might get a kick out of it! https://atariquest.blogspot.com
