Sinyavin
What is the best arkanoid/breackout-similar game for NES or/and Famicom in your opinion?
Tanooki
Honestly I don't really think there is one, other than the actual Arkanoid and also Arkanoid II which was on Famicom only. They even made a special vaus controller with a knob to get the play down right.
Koa Zo
There are a few. It's been years since I've played any though so can't recall specifics. Thunder & Lightning (aka Family Block) might be the best one, or at least I remember it as my favorite. Nazo no Kabe: Block Kuzushi is on the Famicom Disk System, and was later released on PAL NES as Crackout, it requires a mod to play on NTSC NES. Flying Hero (Famicom) is a hybrid ball & paddle example. You bounce a firefighter up to windows on a burning building to extinguish the flames or rescue a person about to jump. An excellent fun game, and the sequel to Megumi Rescue from the Japanese Master System. Edited December 12, 2021 by Koa Zo
