Keatah
Does anyone know what chess game this is? It's almost certainly from the early 1978/1979 Apple II days. Saw it on a TV ad. It's definitely drawn in lo-res. I was thinking it was on one of those Integer BASIC compilation disks or something from a user's group. Or maybe it's a mockup only.. Iamgroot
That is one of the first chess games that was written in Integer Basic. It didn't really have a name, other than Chess. I probably could find it in my collection of Integer Basic programs, if you want it bad enough.
Keatah
I will conduct a search in my stuffage. Now I know it’s a real thing.
Keatah
A little bit of MDC and I was able to find it on AUSM011A.dsk on Asimov. I wanted to see what it would look like in BASIC. The REM statements appropriately warn about the simplistic nature of the program overall. Certainly not MicroChess or MyChess or Sargon. But amusing to trace through. Slow as all hell.
