masteries
Greetings mates, Despite the question is not only related to Atari systems, it also relies on them, -Are there any graphic editor suite capable of reduce the number of colors of an image, for example, reduce to 16 or 32 colors (or any value you need), which can take the colors from the used colors in another image (that contains more than 256 colours)? An example: You have an image with the 512 colour count of an Atari ST or another 512 color count image for Genesis/Megadrive (this image probably is stored as 24 bits BMP) and you have a spritesheet, and you need to convert them to 16 colours or 32, but you want to convert the spritesheet to 16/32 colours that comes from any of the other image 512 color count. Mainly, software such Gimp can do this, but only with images with a colour count of 256 colours of less... but you are lossing precision, your system has a larger palette to pick up the colours.
