Paul Kwiatkowski
Hi, I have a few questions about creating a Homebrew cartridge. I understand the coding part, and I’ve even had a custom cart created for myself by AtariAge, label and all. After three years of work, I think my program (it’s not a game) is reaching the point where it would be a worthy addition to the Homebrews available in the AtariAge store, but there are a couple of things I can’t figure out after looking around the site quite a bit. How does one submit a Homebrew? In particular, who does the manufacturing, especially if the Homebrew includes a box and manual? It seems that AtariAge are the ones with the expertise for creating (well, repurposing) the cartridges themselves, but while I’ve bought some carts with terrific-looking boxes and instructions, I don’t know who did what. I’m aware of labelmaker2600.com. Does anyone know if there is anything similar out there (website, Word Template, whatever) for creating box and manual art? I’m especially interested in imitating the “classic 2600 game” look, e.g. Adventure. To be clear, this is a labor of love, I don’t expect to make a dime off it (and losing a bit of money would be fine with me, it would just be nice to get this into the hands of some people who would appreciate it). Cheers, Paul
Thomas Jentzsch
You should contact @Albert and ask him if he is interested to add your program to the store.
BigO
I second Thomas' recommendation. Albert pretty much is AtariAge. He would call the shots on all of the pieces of production that you listed. I'm curious about what your non-game program is.
