So if there is a broken leg on one of the custom chips then you can solder another leg from a donor chip if it has enough metal exposed. Some people use a dremel to expose more of it if its snapped at the base of the chip. http://www.ukvac.com/forum/missing-chip-pin-tips_topic350953.html Thanks, but luckily the CIA sat in 2 other ic sockets wich had a switch so 2 pins were soldered from one socket to switch and also on the next socket, so if you switch it probably made the external drive as first boot drive. I guess.. Because when i bought it, it had a external drive. So the pin broke off from the last ic socket. Also the drive does not fit firmly in the amiga case so that is probably the reason i guess, in that time there were no goteks. But i am going to fix that. Other question, what is the best way to remove the rusty corrosion on the metal plates in the amiga, because it was on a dry place but it also was not airtight all these years, so humidity had it chanche to do it's work. I do not want to use steelwool. The guy wich i bought the other one from uses baking soda... I even want to try elektrolysis, because i have a lab psu. shoestring
Baking soda will work. The important thing is to paint them after cleaning or they start rusting pretty much straight away. I used PCB lacquer after wet sanding the metal plate of the a1200 keyboard. But there are better ways. https://retrohax.net/extreme-refurbishing-episode-4-vampiric-amiga-500/
