eightbit
https://web.archive.org/web/20040714072810/http://www.pricelessware.org/2004/about2004PL.htm As another project (other than my 486) I have recently restored a Pentium 4 2.40GHz machine someone dropped off to me during the pandemic. Word around town is "ask Bruce before you recycle" so I get some nice old stuff here and there The computer is fantastic and runs just as great as well...my own P4 did back in 2004. So I decided to go back into my archives and match software that I burned and saved that works well on this era machine. Mame v0.115 full set runs like a dream (even though I archived that version romset in 2007)...as well as all of the older great software I used from that time period. Then I ran across an ISO image of the "Pricelessware 2004" CD. A massive CD image of all of the best freeware that is "priceless" (both in price of course and in how excellent the freeware was...and no adware, spyware, etc) and I have been going through that software. I used to follow the newsgroup for it at the time and I thought it was such a cool project. Now it is long gone of course hence why I had to link through archive.org. Just wondering if anyone else remembers this? Edited April 16, 2022 by eightbit
Keatah
I did a lot of the simtel stuff. Way too much into chasing the 3D stuff and boxed pc games.
