mrpchead
I picked up a VCS last week from GameStop for $99. I added 16GB of 3200MHz RAM and a 500GB M.2 SSD. I downgraded the BIOS to gain access and then ran into the problem of the installation failure that has been widely discussed here. After many failed attempts I decided to try Legacy boot and it worked. I then ran the MBR2GPT utility to convert the disk to GPT, changed the BIOS back to UEFI only and am now upgrading to Win11. Not sure if it matters but I disabled the eMMC drive and the "boot from USB" options. I think this is probably the easiest way to go. Hopefully this will save others some time. For just over $200 I have a wonderful little PC that runs everything I want. Edited April 25, 2022 by mrpchead 3
