RenatoDCD
Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the brazilian variation of Atari Flashback X, since its power output is not via a USB cable, not allowing to use the OTG cable method. How can I upgrade this version easily, is there any SD support for this variation in its board? Thanks in advance
Slikatel
I heard there is no way to hack these units. I don't think it is possible to update the firmware on these units. The only idea I have is to solder a USB connection to the PCB board and use some kind of rockchip tool to push an update onto the unit. I do have one question, what firmware version number does your About Screen show? Later U.S. models with the reset hole on the bottom came with OTG support out of the box. Slikatel
yeah, I've never seen the PCB board so I have no idea if you can solder a USB port on that sucker or not. Maybe if you can dump your firmware and hack it and push it back on, No clue. Maybe rkflashtool would work?

Thanks in advance Tectoy put a sticker over the micro usb port... you can just remove it if you disassemble it, you will see that the micro usb is still there, but with a workaround adapted to use in the 127v plug... if you prefer, you can remove this wire (and the sticker on the micro usb) and feed it with a power supply. cell phone power. the good side of this brazilian version is that it can feed the energy and use the usb without needing the OTG in Y. The bad side is that by converting 127v to 5v it heats up considerably.

I just removed the sticker and for a question to end this (at least up to the next question lol), no need for any other mod than just placing the OTG in the microUSB port, right? (I won’t mess in the electrical side since I’m stupid in this matter).

rocketfan
I'm glad to see the USB port was brought out on those after all. Now I wish those Tectoy units could be imported into the US!
Rodrigo Gouveia
