Yes, the original, freely downloadable version in this thread:

The 2017 full release is a bit different.

Both are great though. I have the original on cart as well :)

Yes, the downloadable version is kind of like the Arcade mode of the full game, but missing a few features.

The pay for cart version in the AA store has a load of extra features such as;

- Campaign story

- Music

- Collectable power ups which you activate with the num pad.

- More variable rock flight patterns.

- 5 scoreboards.

It is just generally more polished too :)

The power ups add some extra strategy to the game too as you choose when to use them.

What's in the slot?  GameDrive.  Though the system sits on a drawer of carts, aftermarket releases and homebrews that don't feel right to have ripped to the GD.

Where's the JagCD?  In a box, stored away.

How often do you hookup / play the CD unit? Seems like a lot of people keep the Jaguar CD mothballed. Can't blame them with how much they're worth. Holy moley, do I regret selling mine! Kudos on showing the homebrew releases love and using the physical carts.

I have a few things for JagCD that I can't play right now because of that, but with the way the CD unit is built, it seems awkward to have it sit anywhere that's not on the system or in the box.

Agreed, but you've chosen the wrong solution. Correct way:
