Atari VCS MAC Address

Hi,

there are several possibilities.

If the VCS has already logged into the WLAN once, you can see the MAC address via the IP of the VCS in your router.

If you have a Win-PC in the network you can scan the network e.g. with the tool "Softperfect Network Scanner".

You can find it here:  SoftPerfect Network Scanner

Or if you have an Android or Apple Mobile, you can also scan the network with the Fing APP (available in the App Stores) or on the fing Website: FING App.

Cheers,

andY

If you need to get it from the VCS itself, you can make an Ubuntu Live USB,  boot it, get to a command line, and run this command:

ifconfig -a

One of the entries in the output will show the MAC address.  ex:

wlan0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST>  mtu 1500
        inet 192.168.5.35  netmask 255.255.255.0  broadcast 192.168.5.255
        inet6 fe80::1c3b:116b:b3fa:2f84  prefixlen 64  scopeid 0x20<link>
        ether dc:a3:32:c3:45:af  txqueuelen 1000  (Ethernet)
