Hello, this is Al E. Gator.  And this is my episode.  I'm discussing my favorite game of all time:  Asteroids.  I'd like to hear some of your memories of this here game.  What were your highest scores?  How long did you play it at one time?  Stuff like that.  Hope you is all okay and having a good summer.

Great to see you again Al E. Asteroids is my all-time favorite coin-op. There’s one at our local arcade and I always play it.  I normally turn it over 2-3 times and then move onto other classics like Galaxian, Tempest and Battlezone.

For home consoles, the 7800 version is my favorite, especially with a Starplex controller.

If your into Asteroids I highly recommend Space Rocks for the 2600 and Asteroids Deluxe for the 7800. ?

As soon as they asked me to like and subscribe I stopped watching.

Ditto.  If I'm going to like a video or subscribe to a channel, I'm going to do it because I actually like the video and want to check out the rest of the content on the channel.

Yeah, The Algorithm must be pleased, etc.  I get it.  But all of the thinly-veiled begging for likes and subscribes and notifications and other obnoxious shit just comes across as a) desperate and b) manipulative.

Yes.

Gonna teach that algorithm a lesson. I already bitchslap it regularly by downloading the vids via yts5.com or other service. You will need an adblocker on yt5 because I get all these casino pop-ups and requests to date foreign women and stupidy stuff like that.

Ads in videos? I just skip ahead by 1 minute. 2 if necessary. It's easy to detect the change in tone of voice of the sorry-assed huetewbur right before they start droning. I have a hotkey in VLC set for that.

I tend to be a little more harsh I suppose. I just have a list of channels I like and I manually search them WHEN there's time. And when I'm in the mood. And videogaming mood is different from classic computer mood, of which both are different from astronomy or scary stories. I really don't like all the email spammage everytime something new is out. Just too much to keep track of with everything else going on in internet land.
