tailGator
Going through eBay today, I saw Crypts of Chaos currently going for $40. This is one of the games I used to have as a kid, but don't have now as a collector of over 500 2600 games (label variations included). The game wasn't that fun to play, but it irks me knowing that I used to have this game. Spy Hunter is another one of those "used to have" games that I don't own. What rare games did you guys used to have when growing up?
ATARIPITBULL
From the looks of things, not too many as a kid, the only ones I can think of, which I still have are: Crazy Climber & Gremlins. I now have much rarer ones. Now as far as that Crypts of Chaos goes, it had better be mint or sealed in the box to go for that price, or the buyer is high as hell!!!! Tempest
The rarest game I had was The Earth Dies Screaming. Tempest
Chadivision
Swordquest Waterworld. I just told my sob story in a recent post. My brother let someone borrow our Atari stuff and we never got it back. The way I see it, technically, I STILL own Swordquest Waterworld... I'm just not really sure where it is right now. Krytol
I used to have Spy Hunter which I traded for Venture.

Chadivision
I might give that a try. Oh, wait. He has been in the military for several years and works out every day. While I on the other hand... Play Atari. Maybe I should just challenge him to a game of Combat.
MattG/Snyper2099
I had the coleco kid vid unit with smurfs save the day and all the tapes, ect. I also had tapper and gremlins. I remember selling it all at a flea market so I could buy some NES games. DOOOGH!
Paul Slocum
Party Mix. I still have the cassette case and manual, but somehow the tape got lost. It was one of my favorites too. Hopefully one of these days I'll find someone selling the cassette without the case or instructions.
Big Player
I still own every 2600 game I had as a kid. However, not one of them is rare.

Gateway
We were poor when I was a kid, so we only had a few of the common games, but we had a lot of fun when the neighbor boys would bring over their box of carts. The rarest they had was Tanks But No Tanks. I always thought this game was the coolest. It must be rare because i have yet to aquire a copy of this game. I started my current collection in mid 1995. Of my current collection, I'm still kicking myself for selling a rare cart at the swapmeet in favor of the blue label Shark Attack. I want my green label Lochjaw back! bcostin
I too had Crypts of Chaos. I got it as a birthday gift soon after it came out, but I was so disappointed by the game that I pestered my parents into exchanging it. I'm not sure which game I ended up getting instead. Maybe Demon Attack.
sku_u
I still have all my 2600 games I had as a kid. The rarest of my original titles I *THINK* would be Fast Eddie (which was also my favorite game as a kid).
Scooterb23
As far as I can remember, I am exactly *THREE* carts away from having every cart I used to have as a kid, back in my collection... Artillery Duel (single ender, I have the game on a double-ender) Harbor Escape Atari Video Cube Heck of a three games to try and find for $5 or less
moycon
Hmmmm For me it would be Tomax the Barbarian I guess... I used to keep and display all my boxes when I was a kid so it would have been complete. Of course when I moved to GA I trashed all those mint boxes probably about 40 of em!! And later sold off Tomax....Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

moycon
Well they were mint except for a pinhole through the back. At some point I started pinning them up on the wall above my bed...All of them. At the time I was doing it mostly cuz I thought it looked cool. If I had only known. *sigh*

ATARIPITBULL
I have a crazy question, why would Crypts of Chaos sell for $67.00? when I bought one complete for about $25.00 just 8 months ago.
