+OLD CS1
I have a bunch of Intel S3420 and S1200 main boards with Xeon CPUs and 32GB RAM (maxed out.) These were used in Hyper-V virtual servers and I have kept them for spares. I retired the last S3420-based server a few years ago, and these S1200s are too old to replace the newer boards I use. Are these of any use to anyone here? I hate to throw them out as they are still functional and operational, but I do not have a place for them in my environment. +OLD CS1
OK, I have had enough interest that I will run them up and get more detailed specs over the next week, and get back to everyone who has inquired. Thanks, all.
edweird13
@OLD CS1 any news on this? Was thinking about getting a case and power supply ahead of getting this. Thanks

If all goes well, I can do some tomorrow.
edweird13
Sorry didnt mean to bug you. Just got impatient. I plan on using one for a Plex and another as a NAS.

+OLD CS1
Okay, here is my inventory: S3420GPC Xeon X3450 2.66GHz 16GB S3420GPX Xeon X3450 2.66GHz 32GB S3420GPX Xeon X3450 2.66GHz 16GB S3420GPC Xeon X3450 2.66GHz 32GB S3420GPX Xeon X3450 2.66GHz 16GB S3420GPC Core-i3 530 2.93GHz 8GB S3420GPC Xeon X3450 2.66GHz 32GB S3420GPC Xeon X3450 2.66GHz 32GB S3420GPX Xeon X3450 2.66GHz 24GB* S1200RPS Xeon E3-1231v3 3.40GHz 32GB S1200BTL Xeon E3-1220v2 3.10GHz 32GB * Indicates sporadic RAM detection problems (sometimes does not recognize full amount.) I have swapped modules to get it to detect the 24GB. Almost all boards have their ATX plate (first comers will definitely get them.) All boards have a maximum RAM capacity of 32GB Registered ECC. A note about age: some of these date back to 2011 so standard caveats apply. CPU thermal paste may need refreshing, CMOS batteries are good but likely old enough to be replaced, no warranty, likely needs updated firmware, &c. Some of these boards will accept the Intel AXX4SASMOD ESRT2 SAS/SATA RAID card, of which I have two with the RAID-5 key. These are $25 each if you need them. These boards fit tightly in a USPS Priority Medium Flat Rate box, or comfortably in a Large Flat Rate box. Shipping is to USA and Canadia, only.
3DFXgamer
I'm interested in number 10 on your list. How much are you asking for these?

Sorry, someone beat you to it. I could charge a premium for the RAM, but I am just asking shipping.

+OLD CS1
Gonna give this a quick bump before I send the remaining units out for recycle.
+OLD CS1
I added another S1200BTL today. If no one wants any by Monday, they will be taken out to recycle.
Jess Ragan
What kind of RAM is this, and how's it split up on these boards? I've got a 4th gen HP that can take low watt DDR3 RAM, but it can't use sticks larger than 8GB.

Matching sticks up to the amount of RAM listed (32GB = 4 x 8, 24GB = 2x8 + 2x4, &c.)
Jess Ragan
Oh. I see ECC doesn't necessarily work with consumer grade computers. I may have to pass on this, sorry!

I did not make it exceptionally clear, but these are server boards and were used in Hyper-V servers.
Jess Ragan
No, you did mention that. I noticed my system does accept low watt RAM, but not error checking RAM. I looked at the spec sheet of the motherboard in that computer, and it definitely doesn't have ECC support. Thanks all the same!
3DFXgamer
I will take #11 if still available. Might be interested in #4 as a backup to a server I built with the last board you sent me :)

I think I fit two boards in a single Flat Rate Large box, about $20 in shipping. I am sure it is worth it for both of them for you.
3DFXgamer
Great! I will take them! I think you still have my info, but if not let me know and I'll send it to you
