Ian Primus
Someone told me that the Sears Video Arcade II was not compatible with 7800 carts. I always thought that it was just the Sears version of the 7800. Is it compatible? I have been hunting high and low for a 7800, and have a chance to get a Sears Video Arcade II, but I am worried that it wouldn't play 7800 carts. Is it 7800 compatible? If it isn't, what IS it? +-^CrossBow^-
The Sear's Video Arcade 2...is only similar to the 7800 in that it was build in the same basic case. The Sears Arcade 2 was nothing more than a 2600 in a newly designed and fancy case. Overseas in Japan the same case was used in the Atari 2600 there only it was known as the 2800. In short. The Sears Arcade 2 is not compatible with 7800 games since it isn't even a 7800. However, the Sears Arcade 2 by itself might be considered more rare..and could fetch a trade for a 7800 I bet. Hope this helps...
