snarkdluG
Do you mean pcmcia? No Atari used that which I know of.
ggn
Indeed, no Atari 16/32 machine uses this port.
TGB1718
PCMCIA didn't exist before 1989/1990 so would never be part of the ST
+dhe
Sorry, my bad, I guess ultrasatan it is: https://amigaonthelake.com/ultrasatan-cased/ Does anyone know the maximum throughput is for this device / port?

For this device I think that with a properly configured driver you can expect 1Mb to 1.2Mb for reading and about half of that for writing (although memory is a bit hazy on the later)
+DarkLord
Flashjazzcat has a couple of video's doing a head 2 head comparison between an external US and the SD4ST device. Interestingly enough, I've had the best results from Sandisk brand cards but...lots of good info here:
snarkdluG
Max speed you can get out of the ACSI port is 2Mb/s. Not much hardware available for that speed though. http://raven1.magix.net/acsicf/acsicf.html But I'm unsure if anyone have that for sale. I think Peter Putnik had it for sale a while back.
