Status of Gideon and Ultimate64?

Hi Commodore fans, I'm a long-time Atari 8-bit fan who has recently started to get into the wonderful world of the C64.  I stumbled across a couple of references to Gideon's Ultimate-II+, and it looked like a great thing so I placed an order back in June. His website said he was going on summer holidays in July, but as far as I can tell nothing has happened since then.  I sent an email a couple of months ago and got no response.  Anyone here heard from or about him lately? Hopefully he's okay, just busy.

Gideon is very active on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ultimate64

 

However, it is a private group, and you have to apply to be let in.

For anyone interested, I was both approved into Gideon's Facebook group and also received an email update from him within the last few days.  The short version is that he's run into some production delays not of his making, but expects to have a run of devices built in January. Very excited to get one as it's going to be much more sophisticated than the SD2IEC device I'm presently using!
